In short, it is great action series, but the plot is so so.

Isayama-san has all the right to pick the end of his story, and I won't criticize him for that, since, unlike for example TG:re, AoT's end is a wholesome. Such can be felt throughout where one character would make dubious decision, and then another, and then another one.Įven so, the author at least managed to keep it tense until the end and cover for those dissatisfaction. One development after another feels like something thought on spot rather than a fruit of a long planned plot coming out together in the end. Still the way the author choose to unravel the Titan mystery and the way to solve the innate problem of the threat Titans bring to the world, was rather poor. Still throughout the series, humans fought and found a way to go toe to toe with the monsters and it has been where the strength of the series lies. Although Titan is basically human, it is in the end basically a monster with their sheer size and superiority over humans.

AoT might be one of the most intriguing series of its kind.
